That move ensured he’ll remain under team control through not less than 2027. With loads of time remaining before a second contract must be finalized \u2013 and the potential of the franchise tag being in play \u2013 a patient approach on the Texans\u2019 part could be easy to grasp. Using 2026 as an evaluation period could give either side further clarity for every time a brand new round of negotiations happen.<\/p>\n Stroud enjoyed among the best rookie seasons in NFL history in the course of the 2023 campaign.
