A Russian veteran has been jailed after threatening to \u2018tell the reality\u2019 about soldiers being mass murdered and tortured on the frontline.<\/p>\n

Aleksandr Lunin delivered a stark message to Vladimir Putin, predicting Russia\u2019s army would \u2018turn its weapons\u2019 towards the Kremlin unless its concerns were heard.<\/p>\n

He has since been detained for at the very least 11 days after being found guilty of \u2018displaying extremist or Nazi symbols\u2019, TVP World<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

Lunin, 39, used a viral video to request a live televised meeting with the Russian president as a way to \u2018tell the reality about what is occurring to our country straight away\u2019.<\/p>\n

He claimed soldiers were starting to defy orders to perform \u2018silly or suicidal\u2019 acts \u2013 and were being tortured for his or her dissent. <\/p>\n

In a clip viewed greater than 12 million times in 24 hours, Lunin said he was relaying a message having spoken to high rating officals on the Ministry of Defense.<\/p>\n

He said: \u2018For the time being, dozens, a whole lot, hundreds of our soldiers are sitting in dungeons, punished by their commanders.<\/p>\n

\u2018They’re sitting there rotting, being subjected to torture and violence by the so-called \u201cGestapo\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u2018They’re there because they refused to perform silly, suicidal orders.<\/p>\n

\u2018They’re there because they refused at hand over their financial assets and in the long run they’re eliminated \u2013 declared missing.\u2019<\/p>\n

The previous serviceman was amongst volunteers on the frontline of Putin\u2019s \u2018special military operation\u2019 against Ukraine in 2022. <\/p>\n

Nonetheless he has since returned to his home in southwestern Russia.<\/p>\n

Referring to the Russian dictator by his first names, he continued: \u2018Vladimir Vladimirovich, please be aware of this. Invite me for a gathering. The implications may very well be very serious.<\/p>\n

\u2018If in the longer term I don’t come to the Kremlin and speak live to tell the tale air next to you, the military will turn its weapons against the Kremlin.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m only passing on the message. That’s all.\u2019<\/p>\n

Lunin has since appealed his conviction at a court in Russia\u2019s southwestern Voronezh region, however the Kremlin said it had yet to review the footage of his clip.<\/p>\n

First-time offenders found guilty of \u2018displaying extremist symbols\u2019 will be locked up for as much as 15 days.<\/p>\n

It comes as prime minister Sir Keir Starmer insisted Ukraine was \u2018holding strong\u2019 against Russian attacks.<\/p>\n

In an address setting out the UK\u2019s Defence Infrastructure Plan, he said: \u2018They’re increasingly capable of push Russia back on the battlefield.\u2019<\/p>\n

He added there have been \u2018clear signs\u2019 that the mood in Moscow was shifting consequently of Putin\u2019s war and its toll on Russian economy.<\/p>\n

The Kremlin has announced from today the closure of seven railway crossings from Finland, Estonia and Latvia.<\/p>\n

Because the war began in 2022, the lines have ceased to be major trade routes, however the suspension of movement of each passengers and goods is one other sign of Putin severing relations along with his neighbours.<\/p>\n

The president has also promised to tackle fuel shortages across the country attributable to Ukrainian drone strikes on oil infrastructure, which have seen drivers fighting at petrol pumps.<\/p>\n

Last week he suggested he may ban diesel exports, as supplies in some regions, including Crimea, have almost run dry.<\/p>\n
