In an interview with entertainment journalist Vickey Lalwani, Anuj mentioned that the revelation caught him by surprise as well. He explained that he was unaware the couple had been living individually for several months. \u201cI didn’t know that Gaurav and Akanksha weren’t staying together for the reason that last 9 months,\u201d <\/em>he shared.<\/p>\n He further stated that he spoke to Gaurav after the episode aired and claimed that the Anupamaa actor had not been informed about Akanksha\u2019s decision to make their separation public. \u201cGaurav was completely unaware that Akanksha goes to go public in regards to the current status of their marriage in Lock Upp,\u201d<\/em> Anuj said.<\/p>\n Anuj also praised Gaurav\u2019s alternative to maintain his personal life private.
