Terence Crawford has shut down Conor McGregor\u2019s claim that he turned down a large money offer to fight him within the cage.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One fight that never materialized during Crawford\u2019s glittering profession was a crossover bout with UFC legend McGregor. The Irishman says that a $200 million offer was made by Turki Alalshikh for a two-fight deal across their sports, with the MMA bout coming first before a boxing meeting.<\/p>\n

Terence Crawford insists he would have taken Conor McGregor fight offer<\/h2>\n

While appearing on Ariel Helwani\u2019s Uncrowned show last month, Conor McGregor revealed the bombshell news that there was once a large money offer on the table for him to fight Terence Crawford.<\/p>\n

The fight would have made sense given the boxer\u2019s wrestling background, but McGregor insisted that his rival turned it down for fear of being kicked. And on today\u2019s episode of the identical show, Crawford claimed that no such offer existed for the cash claimed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was a lie,\u201d Crawford insisted. \u201cIt was cap. There was never a $200 million offer, they asked me what I\u2019d do, and I told them, \u2018You ain\u2019t about to be kicking on me, Conor.\u2019 We were on FaceTime and I did tell him that. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut they didn\u2019t say, \u2018Hey, you bought $200 million. You fight him in boxing and MMA.\u2019 That was never the case. If it was said to me, I could say there was a proposal, but when nothing is aware of me, I can\u2019t say what’s what. He\u2019s making up numbers, in my head. <\/p>\n

\u201cI might have done it\u2026 Why wouldn\u2019t I? I don\u2019t must do it [today after retiring]. Back then, it could have been a superb deal. Immediately, where I\u2019m sitting, I don\u2019t must do it. That\u2019s the thing; I\u2019m in a unique space in my life straight away, where I don\u2019t should take those fights.<\/p>\n

\u201cBack then, I probably would have taken it. Conor\u2019s not the perfect wrestler. I\u2019m not saying I\u2019m the perfect wrestler either, but I do know standing up it\u2019s only going to take one good shot and I\u2019m going to place him to sleep. He\u2019s going to attempt to kick me, and takedowns, we\u2019re just going to do what we do.\u201d<\/p>\n
