A British woman has been arrested in Thailand after allegedly stabbing her husband to death with a \u2018zombie knife\u2019.<\/p>\n

Authorities discovered the large 20-inch blade on the couple\u2019s luxury holiday home in Pattaya City, Bang Lamung district.<\/p>\n

Officers were alerted when a friend sounded the alarm after failing to succeed in the businessman, The Sun<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

They reported seeing blood stains on furniture and in the toilet once they arrived on the property, where they found the 33-year-old man dead within the shower.<\/p>\n

A wiped-clean zombie knife was present in a sink, and the wife had cuts on her fingers as she was questioned by police.<\/p>\n

She is now being held in custody as enquiries proceed.<\/p>\n

Following an initial examination, it\u2019s believed the person had died at the least six hours before officers arrived on the scene.<\/p>\n

The incident is being treated as a murder case.<\/p>\n

Police Colonel Nattapon Phongsuksakul said the lady had denied murdering her husband, but that it was \u2018difficult to just accept that claim\u2019 due to the stab wounds found on the victim\u2019s back.<\/p>\n

He added there was evidence the wife had attempted to wash up the stains before police arrived at the house.<\/p>\n

Neighbours reported that the pair had moved in two weeks ago and were known to be users of cannabis.<\/p>\n

Despite becoming the primary country in Asia to decriminalise marijuana, Thailand is now considering restricting its use to those with a legitimate medical certificate.<\/p>\n
