A mum has been charged with murder after the body of a four-year-old boy was present in a house in Recent South Wales, Australia. <\/p>\n

The girl, 32, allegedly told police she had \u2018carried out acts of cannibalism\u2019 on her son when turning herself in at 4.40pm yesterday.<\/p>\n

Officers later discovered the boy\u2019s body with significant arm injuries while carrying out a welfare check at her home on Bryron Street, Wyong.<\/p>\n

The teenager can have been dead for days, broadcaster Nine News<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

Insiders told The Sydney Morning Herald <\/a>and the Day by day Telegraph<\/a> that fears of cannibalism got here from \u2018discussions\u2019 police had with the mum. <\/p>\n

The girl, who can’t be identified as a consequence of Australian child crime victim laws, drove to the station, which triggered the search of her home. <\/p>\n

Her Holden Captiva, together with other evidence, was seized. Police haven’t said whether anything recovered on the scene suggested cannibalism.<\/p>\n

She was charged with a domestic violence-related murder today.<\/p>\n

Supt Chad Gillies said at a press conference that the mum and son had a \u2018domestic relationship\u2019 and lived together on the unit. <\/p>\n

She was known to the force, he added. <\/p>\n

\u2018It was a particularly confronting scene,\u2019 Mr Gillies said. <\/p>\n

The coroner will conduct a post-mortem next week to find out the reason behind death.<\/p>\n

Boy was a \u2018little angel\u2019, say locals<\/h2>\n

Neighbour Harley Chislett said that the boy was a \u2018little angel\u2019 who often spent hours twiddling with his toy automotive and Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy.<\/p>\n

He told the Day by day Telegraph: \u2018I can\u2019t imagine he\u2019s dead. He was a great kid, a little bit of a rug rat at times, like all kids that age.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018I loved that child. Sometimes he can be up running around until 9pm, 10pm. It\u2019s like he was running marathons at times. <\/p>\n

\u2018He had a number of energy. He was cute.\u2019<\/p>\n

Mechanic Glenn Winterbottom, 51, who repaired the mum\u2019s vehicle, said that he had never seen any sign of trouble between the mum and son.<\/p>\n

The pair had moved into the rental earlier this 12 months, he said, following alleged domestic violence involving her and her ex-partner. <\/p>\n

\u2018The child was really cute,\u2019 Winterbottom added. \u2018He said, \u201cAre you able to please fix mummy\u2019s automotive, because she broke it?\u201d\u2018<\/p>\n

The girl was denied bail after failing to look in court today.<\/p>\n

She is going to return to court on September 1. <\/p>\n
