Sullivan\u2019s Crossing<\/em> has passed through quite a few surprise forged changes so is the hit show coming back for season 5?<\/p>\n

Based on a book series by Robyn Carr<\/strong>, Sullivan\u2019s Crossing<\/em> follows neurosurgeon Maggie (Morgan Kohan<\/strong>) as she returns to her hometown in rural Nova Scotia. She finds herself reconnecting with estranged father, Sully (Scott Patterson<\/strong>), newcomer Cal (Chad Michael Murray<\/strong>) and more members of the community.<\/p>\n

Sullivan\u2019s Crossing<\/em> was previously renewed for a fifth season, which is anticipated to premiere in 2027 on CTV. After airing in Canada, the hit show will follow up with episodes on The CW after which on Netflix presumably in the summertime once the show wraps up on cable.<\/p>\n

Before the season 4 premiere, Us Weekly<\/em> broke the news in March 2026 that Scott Patterson wouldn’t be reprising his role.<\/p>\n

Based on the book series by Robyn Carr, Sullivan\u2019s Crossing centers around neurosurgeon Maggie (Morgan Kohan) after she moves back home to rural Nova Scotia to reconnect along with her estranged father, Sully (Scott Patterson). The transient getaway turns into Maggie [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSeason 3 of Sullivan\u2019s Crossing ended with Sully leaving for Ireland, starting a brand new chapter in his life. Season 4 picks up the subsequent day, with Sully still overseas,\u201d Roth shared with Us. \u201cWhile he isn\u2019t physically present on this season, the character stays a very important a part of the world with the potential to be included in future seasons should that align with the continuing creative.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patterson later hinted at what caused his surprising departure, writing via Instagram, \u201cThe creative differences were becoming untenable and I just sadly realized that the show was not something that I could conform to proceed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patterson later clarified it wasn\u2019t all the time his vision to go away Sullivan\u2019s Crossing<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s unlucky that it’s now being implied that they moved on from me\/Sully when the actual fact is the exact opposite, and those that sadly have already got spoken out are also fully aware of this fact, and yet selected to say otherwise,\u201d he continued. \u201cI used to be not desiring to make any statement however the fans of the books and the show need to know the reality as I actually have all the time been respectful of those that support this industry by watching and loving these characters we’re so dang lucky and blessed to portray and produce to life.\u201d<\/p>\n
