Max Holloway thinks that Conor McGregor\u2019s battle is with a much tougher opponent as he prepares for his first fight week in five years.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After breaking his leg in a brutal finish to his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier, McGregor has been out of motion and unable to book a comeback. Now, it looks as if he truly will return within the principal event of UFC 329 on Saturday night on the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

Since their fight in 2013, Holloway and McGregor have had very limited face-time. Nevertheless, they did take part in a virtual face-off with Joe Rogan that aired throughout the UFC Freedom 250 event and left the commentator cackling.<\/p>\n

Max Holloway says Conor McGregor is fighting the UFC, not him, in comeback<\/h2>\n

Over time, Conor McGregor has not been quiet about wanting to fight again. For whatever reason, the UFC have struggled to get him a contract, apart from once in 2024 when he was on account of face Michael Chandler but was forced out with a broken toe.<\/p>\n

And Max Holloway appeared to notice that his rival\u2019s tensions were more with the promotion than with him of their outlandish joint appearance with Joe Rogan. While appearing on the Freestylebender channel, Holloway was asked concerning the Irishman\u2019s appearances within the media of late and gave an interesting take.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the Joe Rogan one, he type of did attack me but I felt like he was beefing more with the UFC than beefing with me,\u201d Holloway explained. \u201cHe had some language about me and at the tip of the day I didn\u2019t take an excessive amount of from that.\u201d<\/p>\n
