Greater than three dozen residents held a small vigil for a young boy who was \u2018killed and cannibalised\u2019 by his own mother.<\/p>\n

The unnamed mum, 32, was charged with murder after the body of a four-year-old boy was present in a house in Latest South\u00a0Wales,\u00a0Australia. The lady allegedly told police she had \u2018carried out acts of cannibalism\u2019 on her son when turning herself in.<\/p>\n

Officers later discovered the boy\u2019s body with significant arm injuries while carrying out a welfare check at her home on Bryron Street, Wyong. The teen can have been dead for days, broadcaster\u00a0Nine News<\/a>\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n

Today, a small vigil was held for the boy at Wyong Memorial Pool, where one mum said her own son had played with the victim before his death.<\/p>\n

\u2018He seemed really normal and completely satisfied and stuffed with energy, but he was a shy little kid,\u2019 she recalled, adding: \u2018I truthfully wish we\u2019d got to know him because my son absolutely loved fiddling with him.\u2019<\/p>\n

The resident said the boy\u2019s mum was \u2018quiet\u2019 and nice to talk with when their children played together, and she or he didn\u2019t suspect anything was improper.<\/p>\n

\u2018All of it goes back to the proven fact that you don\u2019t know what happens behind closed doors,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n

Many children were seen with tears of their eyes on the memorial event as they laid down stuffed toys and candles for the victim.<\/p>\n

Insiders told\u00a0The Sydney Morning Herald\u00a0<\/a>and the\u00a0Day by day Telegraph<\/a>\u00a0that fears of cannibalism got here from \u2018discussions\u2019 police had with the mum.<\/p>\n

The lady, who can’t be identified as a result of Australian child crime victim laws, drove to the station, which triggered the search of her home.<\/p>\n

Her automotive was seized together with other evidence. Police haven’t said whether anything recovered on the scene suggested cannibalism.<\/p>\n

Supt Chad Gillies said at a press conference that the mum and son had a \u2018domestic relationship\u2019 and lived together on the unit.<\/p>\n

She was known to the force, he added. The coroner will conduct a post-mortem next week to find out the reason for death.<\/p>\n

Neighbour Harley Chislett said that the boy was a \u2018little angel\u2019 who often spent hours fiddling with his toy automotive and\u00a0Staffordshire\u00a0Bull Terrier puppy.<\/p>\n

He told the Day by day Telegraph: \u2018I can\u2019t consider he\u2019s dead. He was a very good kid, a little bit of a rug rat at times, like all kids that age.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018I loved that child. Sometimes he can be up running around until 9pm, 10pm. It\u2019s like he was running marathons at times.<\/p>\n

\u2018He had plenty of energy. He was lovable.\u2019<\/p>\n
