A Norwegian teenager reported missing after an evening out was killed in a lorry hit-and-run crash in Spain\u2019s Costa del Sol. <\/p>\n

The mum of 17-year-old Nikoline went to police after launching an appeal on social media, saying her daughter had vanished from popular Puerto Banus nightclub Funky Buddha around 4am yesterday morning.<\/p>\n

Today it emerged she was the one who died just before 5.30am the identical day after being hit on the A7 motorway near Cala de Mijas, around half-hour outside Marbella. <\/p>\n

A witness who made the 999 call said a girl had been hit by a lorry whose driver fled the scene. <\/p>\n

The missing teenager wasn\u2019t carrying any ID, but police confirmed it was her after further inquiries following her family\u2019s decision to report her disappearance.<\/p>\n

Detectives are believed to be hunting the driving force of the vehicle, with no reports of any arrests being made yet. <\/p>\n

News of the incident had already emerged yesterday morning however it was not until much later within the day the identity of the feminine killed was confirmed.<\/p>\n

British holidaymakers and expats were asked to look out for the Norwegian teenage holidaymaker in an appeal Nikoline\u2019s mum first published around midday yesterday, hours after Norway beat Brazil 2-1 to succeed in the World Cup finals for the primary time.<\/p>\n

The teenager, who lived in Norway together with her biological father, had been holidaying in the world since June 19 and had been because of return home the day she disappeared to attend an in depth friend\u2019s party after staying with family within the Fuengirola area.<\/p>\n

Her mum told police she went out with friends in a bar in Calahonda between Marbella and Fuengirola before heading to Marbella\u2019s old town after which getting a taxi with a bunch of fellow Norwegians to the Funky Buddha club.<\/p>\n

She is known to have vanished while a girlfriend went to the bathroom between 3am and 4am yesterday.<\/p>\n

Her cell phone connection revealed Nikoline was on Julio Iglesias Avenue near the nightspot, a busy road in daytime, which runs behind the Puerto Banus marina, at around 3.30am, but after that it stopped transmitting.<\/p>\n

Her family\u2019s last contact with Nikoline is believed to have been around 1.30am local time yesterday morning.<\/p>\n

Before contacting police in Fuengirola, Nikoline\u2019s mum and her stepdad combed the port area for her without success.<\/p>\n

She told Spanish media yesterday afternoon: \u2018Each time she stays out late, she tends to keep up contact with us.\u2019<\/p>\n

Her mum\u2019s missing appeal with an image of Nikoline has now been faraway from social media.<\/p>\n
