Max Holloway wants to go away Conor McGregor with some hope at UFC 329.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The pair will headline the UFC\u2019s 2026 edition of International Fight Week, as \u2018Blessed\u2019 welcomes MMA\u2019s biggest star back from his five-year layoff.<\/p>\n

<\/figure>\n

McGregor\u2019s rematch with Holloway is 13 years within the making, and it serves as a possibility for the Hawaiian fan favorite to right one among the wrongs from earlier in his profession.<\/p>\n

And he plans to try this not once, but twice, this 12 months.<\/p>\n

Max Holloway plans to take it easy on Conor McGregor at UFC 329<\/h2>\n

McGregor and Holloway first met in Boston way back in 2013, when each men were early of their respective journeys to becoming UFC featherweight champions.<\/p>\n

The Irishman overcame a torn ACL to secure a unanimous decision victory at 145 kilos. Despite having a size advantage of their upcoming welterweight joust, not many are picking McGregor to win.<\/p>\n

Given his inactivity, McGregor is being widely tipped to suffer a nasty defeat at UFC 329. But even when he’s able to inflicting such a result on his rival, Holloway claims he plans to decide on against doing so.<\/p>\n

Speaking at media day on Wednesday, \u2018Blessed\u2019 revealed his plan to avoid beating McGregor so badly that it takes a possible trilogy fight off of the table.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna go in there and put paws on him,\u201d Holloway said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanna make him wish that he didn\u2019t come back \u2014 actually, no. I\u2019m not gonna make him wish that.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna make him think that he can do it yet one more time, so we are able to rematch at the top of the 12 months,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Fans warn Max Holloway he could look \u2018silly\u2019 by underestimating Conor McGregor<\/h2>\n

Fans have been reacting to Holloway\u2019s comments on social media, and it\u2019s secure to say that the 34-year-old\u2019s words have left loads of fans agitated.<\/p>\n

Some suggested \u2018Blessed\u2019 won\u2019t have the posh of holding back against the UFC\u2019s first-ever simultaneous double champion.<\/p>\n

Others, meanwhile, expressed their want to see the Hawaiian ending McGregor inside the gap on July 11.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe MAC won\u2019t take it easy on you\u2026it should be done in a single.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHell nah\u2026.wym take it easy\u2026I wanna see a knockout in case you can get it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOkay so in case you lose I don\u2019t need to hear it\u2019s since you took it easy on him. I knew I didn\u2019t like this guy for a reason.\u201d<\/p>\n
