It\u2019s been over six years since fans witnessed Conor McGregor knocking a rival out contained in the Octagon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

McGregor\u2019s 40-second victory over Donald Cerrone in 2020 is his only triumph within the UFC since becoming a two-division champion in 2016.<\/p>\n

<\/figure>\n

The Irishman will hope to vary that statistic this Saturday, when he headlines the UFC 329 numbered event against Max Holloway.<\/p>\n

And McGregor says he has recaptured his best form in training, which has apparently been unlucky for those on the receiving end of his punches within the gym.<\/p>\n

Conor McGregor claims he\u2019s \u2018knocked out more people\u2019 before UFC 329 than some other fight camp<\/h2>\n

The upcoming International Fight Week card on July 11 will mark McGregor\u2019s first fight in five years.<\/p>\n

\u2018The Notorious\u2019 has been out of motion since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in 2021, and he\u2019s returning straight into the deep end against the at all times lively Holloway.<\/p>\n

Not many predict McGregor to have his hand raised, having seen little of the Dubliner\u2019s current condition on account of limited training footage.<\/p>\n

But the previous two-division UFC champion recently disclosed some information from his camp during an interview with Smash Forged<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMax is a kickboxing guy. It\u2019s not hard to seek out a stylistic match for Max, so I\u2019ve had some great training partners,\u201d McGregor said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had some tough fights behind the scenes. I\u2019ve been very secretive about my training. I\u2019ve not uploaded clips of anything.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I\u2019ll provide you with this, I\u2019ve knocked out more people on this camp than I\u2019ve ever knocked out,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou may think, \u2018It\u2019s a bit nasty.\u2019 That is the sport. You\u2019ve got to be that nasty. If you happen to\u2019re not that nasty, then you definately\u2019re not double champion of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before breaking his leg against \u2018The Diamond\u2019 of their trilogy, McGregor was also knocked out by Poirier of their second fight six months prior.<\/p>\n

Holloway, meanwhile, can also be coming off a setback. After becoming the primary fighter to successfully defend the symbolic BMF title, \u2018Blessed\u2019 dropped the belt against Charles Oliveira this past March.<\/p>\n
