Although free agent cornerback Terrion Arnold<\/strong> has been awaiting trial since a late-June arrest on felony kidnapping and armed robbery charges, teams are showing interest in the previous Lion. During a hearing in a Florida court on Friday, agent Nicole Lynn testified that the Texans, Colts, Jets and Seahawks contacted her about signing Arnold.<\/p>\n

It appears we will already rule out the Seahawks, who aren’t expected to proceed their pursuit, an NFL source told Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times<\/a>. It seems the Seahawks were just doing their due diligence on Arnold, a 2024 first-round pick, as Condotta notes they’ve a \u201clong-stated policy of being in on all the pieces occurring across the league.\u201d<\/p>\n

A robust secondary was among the many essential reasons Seattle won the Super Bowl last season. Despite losing Riq Woolen<\/strong> to the Eagles in free agency, the Seahawks proceed to boast a formidable group of cornerbacks. They’ve the superb duo of Devon Witherspoon<\/strong> and Josh Jobe<\/strong> as their starting boundary corners, and the hope is second-round rookie Julian Neal<\/strong> will help fill Woolen\u2019s void. Behind them, Seattle has free agent pickup Noah Igbinoghene<\/strong>, Nehemiah Pritchett,<\/strong> and 2026 seventh-rounders Andre Fuller<\/strong> and Michael Dansby<\/strong> as depth.<\/p>\n

While the 23-year-old Arnold could eventually land with the Texans, Colts, Jets or another person, no person knows if he’ll play one other down within the league. Accused of being the \u201cprimary conspirator\u201d in a revenge plot to abduct and beat three men who he believed stole over $250K in property from him, Arnold faces as much as life in prison if convicted.<\/p>\n

Arnold is currently confined to his home in Florida, but he’s allowed to leave for work- or attorney-related meetings. The 2-year veteran worked out for the Texans on Thursday and has visits scheduled with two other teams next week. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
