WWE is making one other try to secure the trademark rights to Randy Orton\u2019s iconic RKO name for wrestling-related entertainment services after a previous application was denied.<\/p>\n

The corporate originally filed for the trademark in November 2024, however the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office rejected the appliance in January 2026, citing a conflict with the long-established RKO Pictures trademark. WWE was later granted additional time to reply or appeal the choice.<\/p>\n

Quite than continuing with the sooner application, WWE has now submitted a brand new filing covering wrestling performances and entertainment services. The applying describes the trademark as covering,<\/p>\n

The previous application was turned down since the USPTO determined the proposed trademark was too just like the present RKO Pictures mark for related entertainment services.<\/p>\n

WWE already holds multiple RKO trademarks for merchandise and other products, but those registrations don’t extend to wrestling performance and entertainment services, prompting the corporate to pursue additional protection.<\/p>\n

The most recent filing also arrives while Orton stays off WWE television. The previous World Champion has not competed since falling to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42 and has been sidelined amid a reported long-term back injury.<\/p>\n
