Terrance McKinney turned his life around in dramatic fashion following a near-death experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n

McKinney is prone to produce a highlight at UFC 329 as a consequence of his ridiculous track record for ending opponents in the primary round.<\/p>\n

Terrance McKinney needed to be resuscitated twice at the back of an ambulance before turning his life around<\/h2>\n

In 2015, cops in Washington Spokane found Terrance McKinney covered in blood after he\u2019d fallen through a window after consuming various drugs.<\/p>\n

The people he had been with called the police, with the present UFC fighter being transported to the hospital. <\/p>\n

He was resuscitated twice throughout the ambulance trip after his heartbeat stopped.<\/p>\n

It has been said that McKinney was experiencing \u201cexcited delirium\u201d, a diagnosis that’s defined by a potentially fatal stage of distress and aggression that is usually linked to drug use, though many beat back on this concept completely.<\/p>\n

He previously told BBC Sport<\/a> that the officers used a Taser on him after he yelled \u201cI\u2019m so powerful\u201d at them and recalls \u201cseeing demons\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t sure what happened,\u201d McKinney said. \u201cIt felt like I used to be waking up from a dream.\u201d<\/p>\n

McKinney would go on to avoid facing any criminal charges and joined the Youth Police Initiative programme, which involves him using his experiences to warn others.<\/p>\n

A return to varsity ended when he decided to pursue a profession in MMA, having made his amateur debut only one 12 months on from his ambulance ride.<\/p>\n

McKinney turned pro in 2017, debuting contained in the UFC Octagon in 2021 after constructing a 10-3 record.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s since gone 8-5 within the Octagon and holds the record for the fastest average fight time in UFC history at just two minutes and 16 seconds.<\/p>\n
