A person from Indiana is facing as much as 12 years in prison after allegedly cutting off his genitals to start out a fireplace at his mother\u2019s garage.<\/p>\n

The investigation began on May 6 after a fireplace at a detached garage. At the identical time that Fort Wayne firefighters were responding, Fort Wayne Police Department officers were also heading out to reports of a stabbing incident.<\/p>\n

Neighbours of the garage owners awoke them upon noticing the blaze, which was once they noticed that member of the family Christopher Peden was missing.<\/p>\n

Officers then found Peden, with court records showing that he claimed he had been stabbed in town\u2019s downtown area, having been threatened by someone the day before.<\/p>\n

He was transported to hospital, where he reportedly confessed to cops that he had been \u2018dishonest\u2019.<\/p>\n

Wanting to be \u2018truthful\u2019, the 36-year-old told investigators how, at around 2am, he \u2018harmed himself\u2019 by utilizing a kitchen knife to cut off his penis.<\/p>\n

As per FOX 59<\/a>, he then poured gasoline on the dismembered organ and \u2018set it on fire on the ground of the garage just contained in the door\u2019.<\/p>\n

He left the garage (on the property where each his mother and brother live) and walked away until he eventually encountered law enforcement.<\/p>\n

Upon examining the scene, police discovered a red plastic gasoline container, 4 lighters, and a kitchen knife.<\/p>\n

Court documents don’t say whether his genitals were found.<\/p>\n

Peden\u2019s mother and brother further told police that the garage only stored a gas container for his or her lawnmower, and it didn’t have electricity.<\/p>\n

The fireplace ultimately damaged two nearby properties and two vehicles.<\/p>\n

Charged with arson, which is a Level 4 felony, Peden is attributable to appear in court next week for his trial dates to be set, having paid a $10,000 (\u00a37.5k) bond on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

His attorney, David Felts, said he was recently retained and has not had a probability to talk to his client yet.<\/p>\n

The Independent<\/a> adds that he had \u2018no comment\u2019\u00a0when asked about Peden\u2019s so-called confession to police.<\/p>\n

If convicted, Peden faces each jail time and a maximum wonderful of $10k.<\/p>\n
