Frightened passengers needed to swim ashore after a\u00a0plane\u00a0crashed into the ocean during an emergency landing. <\/p>\n

The Cessna 402B was operating a scheduled domestic flight when the pilot performed a water landing shortly before midday on Wednesday. <\/p>\n

The pilot and two passengers exited the sunshine aircraft safely after crash-landing within the sea. They swam to shore and were in a position to get help immediately.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for\u00a0Haitian carrier ZED Airlines said they were relieved that nobody died.<\/p>\n

The Dominican-registered plane was flying a domestic route inside Haiti on the time.<\/p>\n

The dual-engine turboprop, registration HI-1056 and operated by ZED Airlines on flight 6502, got here down in coastal waters near Lafiteau in\u00a0Haiti. <\/p>\n

It had departed Cap-Haitien certain for the\u00a0Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince. Footage showed the aircraft within the water near Ibo Beach, with the passengers wading through the shallows towards the shore. <\/p>\n

Local responders assisted the survivors, who’re reported to be in a stable condition. <\/p>\n

Aviation authorities and the airline\u2019s technical team have launched a full inquiry, with no initial details released on a possible mechanical failure. <\/p>\n

The 1972-built aircraft\u2019s condition continues to be being assessed. <\/p>\n

ZED Airlines described passenger and crew safety as its absolute priority and said further updates could be issued sooner or later. <\/p>\n

They said the incident ended without tragedy because of the pilot\u2019s expert handling and swift response on the bottom. The investigation continues.<\/p>\n
