Paddy Pimblett left Benoit Saint-Denis unconscious inside seconds within the co-main event of UFC 329 tonight in Las Vegas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018The Baddy\u2019 only took six months out after his five round war with Justin Gaethje for the interim lightweight title before returning to motion. And he didn\u2019t exactly look too far down the rankings as he faced the number five contender \u2018BSD\u2019.<\/p>\n

They were respectful with each other throughout every week completely overshadowed by the primary event between Conor McGregor and Max Holloway. Despite that looming shade, Pimblett was received with a large pop when he made his walk to get the motion underway.<\/p>\n

Because the T-Mobile Arena rang out with \u2018Oh Paddy The Baddy\u2019 chants, Paddy Pimblett emerged from the tunnel in his usual flamboyant form. One can have been forgiven for pondering that UFC 329 was his night altogether given the reception.<\/p>\n

The favored Scouser got here out first before Benoit Saint-Denis made his trudge towards the Octagon to loud boos. Whatever French crowd were present for the ceremonial weigh-ins and press conference were well and truly drowned out by Pimblett\u2019s electric popularity.<\/p>\n

After going five incredibly gruesome rounds with Gaethje last outing, Pimblett was given the relief of only a three-rounder this go around. It only took a matter of seconds for Saint-Denis to aim and fail with a takedown.<\/p>\n

Pimblett tied him up in a guillotine and turned it right into a D\u2019Arce that left the Frenchman face down on the ground. He even noted that he had to inform referee Marc Goddard that his opponent was unconscious to force the stoppage.<\/p>\n
