Paddy Pimblett was willing to call it a day if he couldn\u2019t get through Benoit Saint-Denis.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This past Saturday, Paddy Pimblett returned to motion for the primary time since January when he suffered his first UFC loss to Justin Gaethje.<\/p>\n

Pimblett was willing to retire if he suffered loss at UFC 329<\/h2>\n

After suffering his first UFC loss earlier this yr, the 31-year-old was wanting to return with a comprehensive win.<\/p>\n

And despite being the underdog heading into the fight, Pimblett was extremely confident about how he was going to beat \u2018God of War\u2019, and a day before the fight, he perfectly predicted the end result.<\/p>\n

Actually, Pimblett was that sure that he was going to return to the win column on Saturday night, that he has revealed he was willing to retire if he lost to BSD.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis fight camp wasn\u2019t easy, getting up to now wasn\u2019t easy,\u201d Pimblett said on About Last Fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbout 4 weeks ago, five weeks ago, I turned to (my coach) and was like, \u2018Listen, if I don\u2019t win this fight what\u2019s the purpose in fighting anymore, I would as well retire, if I can\u2019t beat BSD then what\u2019s the purpose in fighting?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I can\u2019t beat BSD then I\u2019m never gonna be a world champion and that\u2019s what I do that for, I do that to be one of the best on the earth. After which two days later, Justin Gaethje beats Ilia Topuria and it was certainly one of the most important kicks up the a\u2014 I\u2019ve ever had in my life. It set a fireplace underneath me.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m able to kill anyone. Put anyone in front of me and I’ll kill them. I could\u2019ve literally killed Benoit Saint-Denis tonight, I needed to say to Marc, \u2018Lad, he\u2019s out, he\u2019s unconscious\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, though, as an alternative of considering retirement, Pimblett is back on the verge of a title shot, and a possible rematch with Justin Gaethje.<\/p>\n
