NBC\u2019s Sara Gore<\/strong> is giving an update on her health after sharing her breast cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n

\u201cHi, friends. Just somewhat update\u2026\u201d Gore wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Sunday, July 12. \u201cI\u2019m doing very well. Let\u2019s get that out of the way in which. Currently cancer free. Hallelujah. \ud83d\ude4c I\u2019m still within the reconstruction phase and shall be for months. It\u2019s truly a journey. Healing has taken a while, but every week I\u2019ve felt somewhat more like me again.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cThanks for the books. The food. The flowers. The prayers. The puzzles. The cards. The texts. The calls. Every thoughtful gesture that got here my way. I felt EVERY little bit of it. You carried me through some really hard days, and I\u2019ll always remember your kindness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gore shared that she can be returning to Recent York Live<\/em> and Open House<\/em> \u201csoon,\u201d adding that she \u201ctruthfully can\u2019t wait.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUntil then, I\u2019m absorbing these previous couple of slow mornings appreciating all of the moments that typically move by too fast to note,\u201d she wrote. \u201cIt\u2019s good to be here. I like you all. \ud83e\udd0d.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gore shared on air in April that she desired to open up about something \u201csomewhat more personal\u201d with viewers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to be recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and I\u2019m going to be stepping away for treatment and surgery,\u201d Gore said. \u201cIf I didn\u2019t say that I used to be somewhat bit scared, I\u2019d be lying \u2014 and caught off guard, quite frankly, because I watched my mother and my sister undergo this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gore explained that she \u201call the time knew\u201d she was \u201chigh risk\u201d for breast cancer attributable to her family\u2019s medical history.<\/p>\n

The talk show host and actress revealed the news on the Monday, November 3, episode of The Drew Barrymore Show during an emotional conversation with comedian Tig Notaro, who has previously battled breast cancer. \u201cThat is the thing I\u2019ve desired to risk talking about [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI all the time assumed this present day would come,\u201d she continued of her diagnosis. \u201cBut let me inform you, you\u2019re never ready. You\u2019re just never ready, for some reason, even if you catch it early since you\u2019re doing all the things right.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gore became emotional as she added, \u201cIt’s an emotional blow and I wasn\u2019t ready for that. That really really surprised me. It really stung.\u201d<\/p>\n
