The Irishman has confirmed he’ll undergo surgery before returning for his final fight. <\/strong><\/p>\n After five years of anticipation, Conor McGregor returned to the Octagon this past Saturday at UFC 329 when he took on Max Holloway in a rematch 13 years within the making.<\/p>\n Unfortunately for the Irishman, his return ended disastrously when he suffered a knee injury within the opening seconds of the fight which rendered him unable to proceed as Holloway went on to choose up the win.<\/p>\n Despite doubts that he’ll ever return to the UFC again, the 37-year-old stays adamant that he’ll step into the Octagon over again.<\/p>\n ‘Notorious’ suffered a serious knee injury moments into his comeback fight against Max Holloway.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n Almost immediately after the fight, \u2018The Notorious\u2019 broke his silence with a post online, shutting down claims that he went into the fight injured.<\/p>\n Not only that, but he claimed that he was in a particularly dark place after suffering yet one more catastrophic injury, but that wasn\u2019t going to stop him from returning again.<\/p>\n And now just a couple of days faraway from UFC 329, the previous UFC double champion has provided fans with one other update, confirming that he’ll undergo surgery on his injured knee before returning for the ultimate fight on his UFC contract.<\/p>\n \u201cMy faith is unconditional and I’m thankful I get to prove it!
