Dhaliwal: \u201cOkay, so here\u2019s the take care of Pettersson. Okay, let me say this: every week there\u2019s a brand new Pettersson rumor. The most recent one is the Penguins are after Pettersson\u2019s,\u00a0Pettersson.\u00a0Teams checked in obviously. I do imagine Pittsburgh has a point of interest in Pettersson. I’m not hearing the rumor that the Canucks have asked for Ben Kindel, who\u2019s a Vancouver native, former Calgary Hitman, by the best way. No way the Penguins are going to present up such a promising young player like Kindel for a nasty contract.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what\u2019s happening with Pettersson. The fact is he\u2019s got a no-trade clause. Teams call. Teams which might be desperate at center call. I checked in morning. Pettersson has not been asked by the Vancouver Canucks to waive his no-move. That tells you right there that there\u2019s nothing close.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Teams check in. One team told me that at $8 million, Pettersson\u2019s definitely worth the risk. He isn’t definitely worth the risk at 10 or 11. They\u2019ve been attempting to trade this guy for 2 years, Bob. There\u2019s no reason why it hasn\u2019t happened.<\/p>\n

Teams want retention. Some teams want Vancouver to take bad, back bad contract. It\u2019s tough to maneuver one in every of the worst contracts in hockey. This guy went from 100 points to 50 points to 50 points. That\u2019s tough to maneuver at S11.6 million.<\/p>\n

The most probably scenario is he\u2019ll be at training camp. They\u2019ve been attempting to move him for 2 years. They might have moved him at this deadline. They might have moved him on the NHL draft. They might have moved him before July 1st. If it didn\u2019t occur at those thrice, like what makes it, a whole lot of teams spend a whole lot of money on July 1st. , perhaps they don\u2019t have money for this guy anymore.<\/p>\n

So, in any case, look, the Canucks are going right into a rebuild. Everybody knows that. His name is on the market. Teams check in. I don\u2019t think anything\u2019s gotten close. They’ve never asked him. They\u2019ve never sat him down and said, \u2018Hey, we\u2019re close with this team. Would you go there?\u2019 I don\u2019t know if he\u2019s going to waive Bob.<\/p>\n

In eight years in Vancouver, he\u2019s only made the playoffs twice. He\u2019s never asked for a trade. He\u2019s never asked. Last two years have been horrible for this kid. He\u2019s never asked out. He\u2019s got two powerful agents in J.P. Barry and Pat Brisson, who orchestrated the Quinn Hughes trade out of Vancouver. So you understand what? Quinn Hughes asked to get out. Pettersson hasn\u2019t asked to get out. If Pettersson wants out, J.P. Berry and, and likewise Pat Brisson, they will get him out.\u201d<\/p>\n
