The Winnipeg Jets proceed to have Connor Hellebuyck trade talks with the Buffalo Sabres, and perhaps the Carolina Hurricanes<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Hello Hockey<\/strong><\/a>: David Pagnotta when asked about Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck<\/a>. Trade talks with the Buffalo Sabres will likely proceed, and the Carolina Hurricanes might be poking around. It\u2019s still possible that he starts the season with the Jets.<\/p>\n

We type of heard the rumors, obviously. We, what was happening with Buffalo, and he was willing to go there, and the move never materialized.<\/p>\n

Belle: \u201cWhich is crazy. What will occur with a man like him? Is that this something that\u2019s going to be, okay, as over the course of the summer, closer to the season starting, you would possibly see a bit bit more traction. Because I\u2019m assuming a variety of guys, like you only said, are going to the cottage and beginning to quiet down among the business.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pagnotta: \u201cYeah, I mean, that is one in every of those that I\u2019m still , going, \u2018Hey, if it\u2019s August fifth and we get some news out of Winnipeg, we probably shouldn\u2019t be surprised.\u2019 After which, random date, I\u2019m not saying specifically, \u2018Let\u2019s wait for August fifth,\u2019 but like just random day. Because that\u2019s still, that\u2019s still going.<\/p>\n

I believe that there\u2019s, with how the conversations went around draft and his willingness to go to Buffalo, I believe the conversations have continued. I believe they’ll proceed to, to proceed. And I believe there\u2019s, I believe Carolina, Carolina is at all times poking around, right? So wouldn\u2019t shock me in the event that they proceed to do this as well.<\/p>\n

But like, I believe it\u2019s interesting to see how the Jets are going to maneuver this one. Because, like, they really like, they really like (Viggo) Bjork that they picked up in the primary round. He was standing like right in front of me when the pick was made, him and his family. And I didn\u2019t realize he was-he\u2019s a bit guy, but he\u2019s-he\u2019s like a truck. He\u2019s a thick little guy. Like, it is a, like very powerful center that they\u2019ve got. On the smaller side height-wise, but it is a player that they\u2019re banking on.<\/p>\n

The Pittsburgh Penguins had legit talks with the Stars, and would Elias Pettersson be a fit?<\/a><\/p>\n

They\u2019ve been-they were really high on him. They didn\u2019t want to incorporate that pick in a trade for Hellebuyck. So, you already know, that type of shows you the way high they were. They were willing to maneuver the fourth, you already know, but as a part of this, but Winnipeg didn\u2019t wish to flip the picks and, and whatnot.<\/p>\n

So anyway, high on the child. Does he slot in immediately into that 2C role? I believe they\u2019ll give him the chance to try in the event that they don\u2019t discover a substitute or one other, sorry, one other piece, but they\u2019re still seeking to shore up that second line. They still have no less than one other hole on that line that they wish to fill.<\/p>\n

You already know, you\u2019ve got to assume the conversations will proceed if it\u2019s with Buffalo, to incorporate a forward, to incorporate (Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen<\/a>) and other pieces. So you already know, whether it\u2019s (Radim) Mrtka or something else that\u2019s in there, those conversations I believe are going to proceed.<\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t heard it\u2019s dead within the water yet, but again, now we\u2019re now, we\u2019re hitting the dog, dog days of summer. But again, I still anticipate activity, and I believe the Jets with Helly are going to proceed those conversations, and I believe there\u2019s some motivation to make it occur before the season.<\/p>\n

NHL Rumors: Winnipeg Jets, and the Recent Jersey Devils<\/a><\/p>\n

But I believe everybody understands that there’s a likelihood he starts the 12 months in Winnipeg. And if he does, he\u2019s probably going to ride that out, after which, you already know be moved next summer. But they\u2019re still trying, is the long-winded answer of what I just gave you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tom Gazolla: \u201cI prefer it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shawn Belle<\/a>: \u201cNo, I prefer it too. It\u2019s going to be it\u2019s interesting to see a goalie of that caliber move, especially if it\u2019s in the course of the season. It\u2019s going to obviously cause some ripple effect.\u201d<\/p>\n
