Rail engineers had a narrow escape after being stuck in the midst of a raging wildfire in Canada as flames closed in on them. <\/p>\n

Forest fires are burning through the distant landscape of northwestern Ontario, with severe warnings in place across national parks near Lake Superior. <\/p>\n

A crew of engineers experienced the force of Mother Nature firsthand when being trapped contained in the blaze. <\/p>\n

Footage captured contained in the cabin shows a terrifying wall of orange flames surrounding their locomotive as the fireplace ripped through the tracks and woodland near Armstrong. <\/p>\n

The flames, fanned aggressively by the winds, appear to engulf them. <\/p>\n

While the fireplace gets too close for comfort for most individuals, the boys appear calm. <\/p>\n

One among them says: \u2018This might potentially overtake us here. This has gotten a bit of scary.\u2019 <\/p>\n

He then pans the camera contained in the cabin, which is bathing in surreal, orange light from the blaze.<\/p>\n

\u2018Holy s***,\u2019 he adds while one other man movies the skin together with his phone. <\/p>\n

\u2018Okay y\u2019all have to hurry up here, we\u2019re encased in flames,\u2019 he says, before appearing to radio other colleagues. <\/p>\n

The incident is alleged to have occurred after the crew detached from the locomotive to rescue a foreman. <\/p>\n

Poor visibility brought on by the thick smoke then caused the detached unit to smash into its train, sparking further fires, in keeping with reports. <\/p>\n

The boys eventually escaped on foot, and nobody was injured. <\/p>\n

Northwestern Ontario has been hit by a minimum of 128 separate fires, forcing residents to depart their homes. <\/p>\n

Armstrong, where the apocalyptic scene happened, is under an evacuation order together with Lac La Croix First Nation, Collins First Nation, Whitesand First Nation and Lac des Mille Lacs First Nation areas. <\/p>\n

Swathes of northern Ontario are under a severe heat warning, exacerbated by humidity making the temperature feel like 40C. <\/p>\n

Wildfires in Canada and the Midwest US are expected to hamper air quality on the continent in the approaching days. <\/p>\n

In Europe, the gruelling July heatwave lingers over western and southern parts of the continent. <\/p>\n

The dry spell has worsened conditions in Spain, where one in all the country\u2019s worst wildfires has killed a minimum of 13 people, including British nationals after people were trapped inside cars attempting to escape.<\/p>\n

The UK has been enduring high temperatures for weeks, with sparse risking drought conditions, especially within the south.<\/p>\n

Firefighters up and down the country face a minimum of 19 separate blazes, and huge parts of the country are under heightened risk of out of doors fires breaking out. <\/p>\n
