Some appeared to benefit from the events that unfolded in Conor McGregor\u2019s comeback last Saturday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The polarizing Irish star returned from a five-year layoff to headline the UFC 329 event at International Fight Week in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

<\/figure>\n

After his previous fight ended with a broken leg toward the tip of round one, McGregor suffered an injury against Max Holloway at the other end of the opening frame on July 11.<\/p>\n

After a flying switch kick resulted in a knee injury, McGregor\u2019s first fight since 2021 resulted in just 69 seconds, and it didn’t take for much longer for Rafael dos Anjos to troll his former rival.<\/p>\n

Rafael dos Anjos jokes about Conor McGregor\u2019s UFC 329 injury 10 years after pulling out of their fight<\/h2>\n

Fans and fighters were immediately reacting on social media to the anticlimactic conclusion to UFC 329.<\/p>\n

Things ended so quickly that McGregor landed zero significant strikes against Holloway for the primary time in his Octagon profession.<\/p>\n

The likes of Kamaru Usman and coach Javier Mendez shared sympathetic reactions to the Dubliner\u2019s demise in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

That was not initially the case with Dos Anjos, who has a well-told history with \u2018The Notorious\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat pinky toe again?? #UFC329,\u201d the Brazilian former champion wrote on X.<\/p>\n

That comment is in reference to the injury that resulted in McGregor pulling out of the Michael Chandler fight back in the summertime of 2024.<\/p>\n

He soon posted again, this time claiming to \u201cfeel bad\u201d for the person he was speculated to fight in 2016.<\/p>\n

\u201cJokes aside, feel bad for Conor. Not the way in which the fight must have ended. #UFC329\u201d<\/p>\n

Dos Anjos\u2019 more sympathetic follow-up tweet didn’t prevent some fans from criticizing his immediate response to McGregor\u2019s setback.<\/p>\n

Many reminded the Brazilian that he pulled out of a fight against the Irishman as a result of an injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cDude, you ran away and have been nothing greater than a journey man your whole profession.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDidn\u2019t you back out of the most important opportunity of your life?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCan\u2019t poke fun of somebody while you pulled out of the fight against him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis man will without end be bitter for missing out on red panty night.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou missed the most important payday of your life PULLING from a fight against him. Wtf are you smoking Rafa?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRemember while you had a probability to fight him and not only tweet about him, and also you took off running?\u201d<\/p>\n
