A toddler rights group on Thursday said energetic shooter drills in public schools are a short-term response to rising school violence nationwide, urging the federal government to handle the foundation causes of security threats.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese responses from the federal government on the rising school-related violence are lazy, reactive, and merely stopgap measures,\u201d Salinlahi Alliance for Children\u2019s Concerns Spokesperson Elle Buntag said in Filipino in an announcement.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs we’ve repeatedly said, the federal government must address the foundation of the issue,\u201d she added. \u201cLet\u2019s deal with long-term and scientific solutions as a substitute of implementing measures to prove that we\u2019ve done and we’re doing something.\u201d<\/p>\n
