Earlier this month, the Assassin\u2019s Creed Twitter account revealed that the sport can be holding a series of community treasure hunts<\/a> to have fun the discharge of Black Flag Resynced. Each of those chests may be found in-game and would come with a reward and Ubisoft would drop a teaser each Friday for 3 weeks, so players can try to search out them together.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, this week\u2019s treasure hunt has already been scrapped. It seems as if Ubisoft can have underestimated just how good Assassin\u2019s Creed players are at sniffing out rewards, as this week\u2019s treasure hunt was completely ruined by a fan that found the chest by complete accident.<\/p>\n

\n Assassin\u2019s Creed Fan Runs Treasure Hunt By Pure Probability

The fan in query was a Reddit user called Holliday (shared by Twitter user PotatoSynth<\/a>), who explains that they were simply combing the ocean for unmarked chests, and were just swimming around to see in the event that they got lucky.<\/p>\n

They decided to choose a spot on the map that intrigued them enough, dived into the ocean, and immediately spotted the chest. They explain that they were briefly shaking with excitement having discovered something so rare that possibly no one else had on the time.<\/p>\n

What they found was the Explorer Outfit, a novel outfit for Kenway that many thought had been cut from the sport because it was earned via a limited-time community challenge in the unique Assassin\u2019s Creed Black Flag.<\/p>\n

As an alternative, it was actually lurking in a chest at the underside of the ocean, with Ubisoft waiting to drop a touch for its location. Unfortunately, Holliday\u2019s premature discovery just straight up ruined the entire treasure hunt, though Ubisoft was admittedly quite impressed by the complete debacle<\/a> reasonably than upset or irritated. Someone at Ubisoft is seething though, I guarantee it.<\/p>\n
