Earlier this month,\u00a0Brady Christensen\u00a0<\/strong>received full medical clearance upon completing his rehab from a torn Achilles. The veteran offensive lineman has quickly managed to line up his next deal.<\/p>\n

<\/a>The Panthers announced on Friday that Christensen has been re-signed. The sixth-year veteran has spent his entire profession in Carolina, and that may proceed through at the least 2026 on one other one-year deal. Today\u2019s move will give the team familiar depth up front.<\/p>\n

Christensen has totaled 59 appearances and 34 starts up to now. He has seen regular-season game time in any respect five O-line positions over the course of his profession, and that versatility might be welcomed once more this season. The previous third-rounder indicated he can be open to joining a brand new team this summer, but that has not proven to be the case.<\/p>\n

As a substitute, Christensen will find himself in a well-recognized situation on the onset of coaching camp. The 29-year-old will compete for a backup spot over the approaching weeks, presumably along the inside (which saw a brand new center arrive in the shape of Luke Fortner<\/strong>). The tackle position received loads of attention earlier this offseason, with Rasheed Walker <\/strong>being added in free agency and Monroe Freeling <\/strong>being chosen in the primary round of the draft. How the left tackle spot plays out in 2026 will make for an interesting storyline, especially when incumbent starter Ikem Ekwonu <\/strong>returns to full strength.<\/p>\n

The Panthers entered Friday with roughly $8.6MM in cap space, leaving them near the underside of the NFL in that regard. Christensen\u2019s latest Carolina pact was a one-year deal price $2.79MM, though. Given the missed time from his Achilles tear in 2025, this newest contract represents one other short-term commitment at the same (if not lower) figure.<\/p>\n

With Christensen off the market, other veterans offensive linemen will proceed to line up deals within the period leading as much as training camps this summer. It can be interesting to see if the Panthers pursue some other moves or move forward with Walker, Freeling, Fortner and a comparatively long list of returning blockers.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
