A tsunami alert has been triggered following an enormous earthquake off the coast of Mexico.<\/p>\n

The earthquake hit near the town of Puerto Madero, originally recorded at a 7.4 magnitude before being revised to 7.3.<\/p>\n

It struck at a \u200bdepth \u2060of 10km (6.21miles), as per the US Geological Survey (USGS), with tremors felt in Guatemala and El Salvador.<\/p>\n

\u2018Hazardous tsunami waves\u2019 could now hit coasts inside 186miles of where the quake first struck.<\/p>\n
