Former <\/span>India Under-19<\/span> cricketer <\/span>Manjot Kalra<\/span>, who shot to fame together with his match-winning century within the <\/span>2018 Under-19 World Cup final<\/span>, was arrested in Sri Lanka on Friday over allegations of attempting to bribe players throughout the <\/span>Lanka Premier League (LPL)<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n Kalra, now a co-owner of the <\/span>Jaffna Kings<\/span> franchise, was taken into custody by the <\/span>Police Special Investigation Unit for the Prevention of Offences Referring to Sports<\/span> just hours before the tournament opener.<\/span><\/p>\n The 27-year-old had moved away from skilled cricket in recent times to pursue sports entrepreneurship and joined the Jaffna Kings ownership group ahead of the 2026 season.
