Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press appeared on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio on Wednesday and was asked in regards to the Dylan Larkin trade situation and whether things have modified now with the news that Steve Yzerman is stepping down as GM.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been two months, and I don\u2019t know in the event that they can pull off a (Zach) Werekenski (Don) Waddell miracle.\u201d<\/p>\n

We learn in broadcasting school, Tony, there are open questions and there are closed questions.<\/p>\n

That is an open query, but on the very least, Tony, I see a world where anyone is available in and takes this job and says, \u201cI need to take a seat down with Dylan Larkin and see if I can change his mind, and possibly you may sell him on a plan that\u2019s different.<\/p>\n

But I believe at once that\u2019s uncertain at this point. Like I just think Larkin would really like to maintain a low profile, and I can\u2019t blame them. But I actually have to think sooner or later in time that whoever takes this job goes to want the chance to seek advice from him and say, \u201cOkay, it is a recent path. This can be a recent world. Is there a way that we will solve this problem internally?<\/p>\n

Because I believe for the Red Wings, that\u2019s the higher path.\u201d<\/p>\n
