It doesn\u2019t sound as if Jon Jones can be offered a UFC fight any time soon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Earlier this 12 months, Jon Jones called for his release from the UFC after he was denied a spot on the historic UFC Freedom 250 event.<\/p>\n

The previous UFC champion then began to explore ways in which he could get out of his UFC contract in order that he could fight Francis Ngannou potentially under the MVP MMA banner.<\/p>\n

Despite that, earlier this week, Jones claimed that the \u2018door is open\u2019 for him to return to the promotion and he’s open to starting negotiations.<\/p>\n

White shuts down Jones\u2019 potential return to the UFC<\/h2>\n

This past weekend, Jones was back in the environment of the promotion when he cornered Gable Steveson in his UFC 329 debut.<\/p>\n

After training with Steveson throughout his UFC 329 camp, Jones admitted that it made him \u2018miss fighting\u2019, giving him itchy knuckles.<\/p>\n

But despite his claim that the door is open for a possible return to the game, UFC boss Dana White has somewhat dismissed his comments, claiming that he’s retired.<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to be under the identical impression (that he was retired),\u201d White said during a recent interview with Spinnin Backfist<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re all the time making offers, I didn\u2019t see (his comments). We’ve like, almost 800 guys under contract they usually all need to be offered three fights a 12 months, these guys are all the time getting offers.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo (we don\u2019t need to offer them fights, in the event that they\u2019re retired), that\u2019s different, yeah, that\u2019s different. Don\u2019t even get me began,\u201d White continued.<\/p>\n

Although Jones continues to be under contract, he seemingly notified the promotion about his retirement.<\/p>\n

Despite that, the 38-year-old claims he continues to be within the drug testing pool and can be able to make a return if he’s completely happy with a fight the UFC offers.<\/p>\n

At this point, though, it seems unlikely that \u2018Bones\u2019 will return to any kind of combat, and he recently turned down the thought of boxing Oleksandr Usyk after news got here out regarding that potential super fight.<\/p>\n
