In a press release on Thursday, Casino Plus said the initiative reflects changing consumer viewing habits as audiences increasingly devour short-form video on mobile devices.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe local entertainment market is evolving rapidly from long-form television toward premium, short-form vertical reels,\u201d Casino Plus Chief Executive Officer Evan Spytma said.<\/p>\n
It noted that the primary episode of Bathala, released on July 9, had generated nearly 80,000 views on social media.<\/p>\n
The corporate said the series will run for 3 weeks in July, with latest episodes released weekly. The series relies on the Bathala game and reimagines Tagalog mythology through the story of Mayari, the moon goddess, and her efforts to adapt Bathala\u2019s \u201cGreat Formation\u201d right into a digital game.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith Bathala, we’re driving this transition by pairing cinema-grade production with mobile-first distribution. This approach delivers culturally relevant storytelling that aligns with how modern audiences devour media,\u201d Mr. Spytma said.<\/p>\n
The corporate said the subsequent episode will probably be released on July 16.<\/p>\n
Casino Plus said it’s licensed and controlled by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR).<\/p>\n
