On an organization earnings call earlier this week, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos<\/strong> claimed that about 300 productions currently use AI. Of those 300 productions, most use artificial intelligence in post-production.<\/p>\n

\u201cGen AI is scaling quickly across the complete creative process, from concept to pre-vis through post and delivery,\u201d Sarandos said, per THR. \u201cWe\u2019re making higher quality output more quickly and efficiently than we could have using traditional methods. So gen AI workflows now have been utilized in roughly 300 of our titles with the most important concentration right so far is on post-production. But we\u2019re leveraging gen AI for really complicated shots and sequences.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on to cite the doc \u201cThe American Experiment\u201d for instance, claiming that it had 17 minutes of \u201cAI-enhanced\u201d footage. \u201cIt enabled us to expand the scope of the series in ways in which just wouldn\u2019t have been feasible before,\u201d he said. \u201cThose 17 minutes\u2026 they were produced twice as fast and at half the price of previous options.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
