Three teenagers were taken to the hospital after an incident wherein a automotive was driven at people in north County Dublin.<\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed said that they had responded to a public order incident at Harbour Road, Skerries, on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson said: \u2018At roughly 9.30pm numerous youths gathered and a fight broke out.<\/p>\n

\u2018Throughout the course of the incident, a automotive drove at plenty of people.\u2019<\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed said three teenagers, two female and one male, were taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment with \u2018non-life threatening injuries\u2019.<\/p>\n

Fianna F\u00e1il Senator Lorraine Clifford-Lee said she was a family friend of considered one of the young women injured within the incident.<\/p>\n

In an announcement, she said: \u2018I’m deeply shocked and saddened by the horrific incident that took place on Harbour Road, Skerries, yesterday evening.<\/p>\n

\u2018There is totally no place for this type of violence in our community.<\/p>\n

\u2018My thoughts are along with her, the others injured, and all of their families. Thankfully, she is now home from the hospital. I wish each of them a full and speedy recovery.\u2019<\/p>\n

Ms Clifford-Lee said \u2018tensions have been constructing\u2019 in the world following \u2018a major increase within the variety of young people\u2019 visiting Skerries.<\/p>\n

She said she had spoken to Minister for Justice Jim O\u2019Callaghan concerning the incident and asked for added garda resources to be deployed \u2018as soon as possible\u2019.<\/p>\n
