Mammootty, Dhanush Have fun National Award Wins On OM Set <\/h2>\n

Mammootty received the National Award for Best Actor for his performance in Bramayugam, marking his fourth National Award. His role earned widespread acclaim from audiences and critics alike. Dhanush earned two awards on the 72nd National Film Awards: one for his directorial debut Raayan, which won Best Tamil Film, and a Special Mention for his acting in Captain Miller. Rajkumar Perisamy was recognised as Best Director for Amaran, and R Kalaivanan won the Best Editing award for a similar film.<\/p>\n

OM: Chapter 1 (Udhiram \u2013 The Blood Wood) is an upcoming Tamil action-thriller featuring Dhanush, Mammootty, Sai Pallavi, and Sreeleela. Directed by Rajkumar, the film is scheduled for worldwide release on October 16. Inspired by real-life events, the complete story stays under wraps. The project is produced by Wunderbar Movies and R Take Studios, with music composed by Sai Abhyankkar.<\/p>\n

Dhanush last appeared in Kara earlier this 12 months and can soon star in Thamizh Murugan alongside OM. Mammootty\u2019s upcoming Malayalam movies include Law and Order, Padayaatra, and Mattancherry Mafia, amongst others.<\/p>\n
