Argentinian footballer Cristian Romero<\/strong> appeared to snub President Donald Trump<\/strong>\u2019s handshake on the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.<\/p>\n

In the course of the event\u2019s medal ceremony, which saw FIFA officials award Argentinian players silver runners-up medallions following their loss to Spain 1-0, Romero, 28, was seen walking past the president, 80, who was tasked with handing out medals to players on each teams.<\/p>\n

The middle-back did, nonetheless, shake the hands of FIFA president, Gianni Infantino<\/strong>, and Mexican president, Claudia Sheinbaum<\/strong>, who stood either side of Trump.<\/p>\n

Footage shared via X after the medal ceremony wrapped on-air clearly depicted Romero briefly glancing at Trump before averting his eyesight and clutching at his medal as he continued on.<\/p>\n

Because the camera revealed Trump\u2019s stance, audible booing was heard. Trump attended the championship with wife, Melania Trump<\/strong>, and watched the sport with Infantino, 56.<\/p>\n

The Beckhams were joined by Tom Cruise<\/strong>, who gave a speech to the group prior to kick-off. Performances by Madonna<\/strong> and Justin Bieber<\/strong> added further star appeal throughout the event\u2019s halftime musical line-up.<\/p>\n

In a pre-game press conference, football legend Lionel Messi<\/strong> addressed Argentina\u2019s hopes of securing one other victory over Spain.<\/p>\n
