Jessie J<\/strong> and boyfriend Chanan Colman<\/strong> quietly split after welcoming their first baby together.<\/p>\n

\u201cChanan and I made a decision to finish our romantic relationship a while ago,\u201d the singer, 38, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Monday, July 20. \u201cIt has been a tragic and difficult situation, but we’ve got been focused on navigating the change privately and positively for a healthy and pleased coparenting environment for our son, and ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jessie explained why it was essential for her to deal with the breakup herself.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately being in the general public eye that is the best technique to let people know the reality, before rumours flow into or a false narrative is written,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMany celebrities have spoken out about their personal battles with breast cancer through the years. Julia Louis-Dreyfus went public together with her breast cancer diagnosis in September 2017 via Instagram. Nearly one 12 months later, she had successfully beaten the illness and returned to work on Veep. \u201cIt sounds sort of corny, but there\u2019s something about after [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Despite their decision to part ways, Jessie clarified that the pair were in place, adding, \u201cWe are going to at all times proceed supporting one another with love, respect and care as friends and most significantly being Sky\u2019s Mum and Dad.\u201d<\/p>\n

She concluded: \u201cSo when you see us out and about together as a family, or posting one another on socials every from time to time. That\u2019s exactly what we’re doing. Raising and loving Sky together, supported with a positive friendship.\u201d<\/p>\n

The previous couple began dating in 2021. They announced in 2023 that Jessie was pregnant with their first baby, and their son, Sky, was born later that 12 months.<\/p>\n

Ahead of their split, the skilled basketball player, 42, was by Jessie\u2019s side as she battled breast cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to be diagnosed with early breast cancer. I\u2019m highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form but I\u2019m holding onto the word early,\u201d Jessie told fans in a June 2025 social media video. \u201cI actually have been out and in of tests throughout this whole period. I just desired to be open and share it. One, because, selfishly, I don’t discuss it enough. I\u2019m not processing it because I\u2019m working so hard. I also know the way much sharing previously has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and likewise their very own stories. I\u2019m an open book.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later that month, Jessie offered an update on her treatment.<\/p>\n

\u201cPros: Cancer has all gone,\u201d she wrote via her Instagram Stories. \u201cMy nipple is where it was once [and] I can watch Love Island with no guilt. I’m attending to rest and check with friends greater than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jessie noted that she still had a lingering \u201cfear\u201d that the cancer might return. She later clarified that her cancer was not \u201call gone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have got [misunderstood] my post,\u201d she claimed. \u201cI posted a listing of pros and cons of getting breast cancer surgery. The primary pro I put was \u2026 The cancer has all gone. This was a positive affirmation, NOT a fact.\u201d<\/p>\n
