British prosecutors charged a 28-year-old man with murder Monday within the death of former politician and reality TV contestant\u00a0Ann Widdecombe.<\/p>\n

Joshua Kerry was charged after greater than every week in custody on suspicion of murder and acts of terror. Police are continuing to\u00a0investigate his motive, including a possible political or terrorist connection, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n

The death of Widdecombe, 78, a former member of Parliament, shocked the British political world, where Widdecombe was a outstanding voice for a long time. She was a blunt-speaking character known for socially conservative views opposing abortion and the expansion of LGBTQ+ rights.<\/p>\n

Taylor added that the investigation is intensive and complicated, and detectives were working through greater than 800 lines of inquiry.<\/p>\n
