Belal Muhammad couldn\u2019t keep calm when he was being antagonised by Colby Covington.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This past Saturday, Belal Muhammad returned to the Real American Freestyle Wrestling mats for just the second time, when he took on Ben Askren within the co-main event.<\/p>\n

<\/figure>\n

The matchup received quite a whole lot of criticism considering just last 12 months Askren was in a coma for several days and underwent a double lung transplant.<\/p>\n

Despite that, Muhammad went on to win their match via a choice, and Askren emotionally retired after what was considered one of the best comebacks in sporting history.<\/p>\n

Muhammad explains post-event brawl with Colby Covington<\/h2>\n

Following his match, \u2018Remember The Name\u2019 ended up in a brawl with Colby Covington on the press conference.<\/p>\n

Covington was coming off the back of his Cruiserweight Crossover title win against Arman Tsarukyan within the foremost event.<\/p>\n

Within the construct as much as RAF 11, Covington hurled some abusive words at the previous UFC welterweight champion, which resulted in them coming to blows after their respective matches on Saturday.<\/p>\n

And now, Muhammad has explained his side of the brawl and why he kicked out at \u2018Chaos\u2019 Covington.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou only get uninterested in the guy when all he does is talk,\u201d Muhammad told MMAJunkie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter which it gets to the purpose where you\u2019re like, if he says something reckless then I\u2019m just gonna see red and I\u2019m gonna go up and clock him\u2026 The guy is a low-life, he\u2019s said stuff about Leon (Edwards\u2019) dad, I\u2019m like if he says anything about my family, then I\u2019m gonna must hurt you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shortly after their brawl, RAF announced that Covington would defend his title against him at RAF 12, but not long after, Covington called off that match.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou see the coward now going out in interviews saying he\u2019s not gonna wrestle me so that you never know what\u2019s gonna occur. I\u2019ve been saying it for years he\u2019s been running from me and has been ducking me without end.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s gonna attempt to hold onto that belt for so long as possible and if he loses to me, he\u2019s got nothing left, he\u2019s a no one,\u201d Belal continued.<\/p>\n

At this point, it’s unclear whether Covington\u2019s word is final and the match is officially called off.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, the previous UFC interim champion is a shareholder within the promotion and sure has a say in who he faces on the mat.<\/p>\n
