Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton<\/strong> and Jade Jones<\/strong> are officially married, just over a month after one among Jones\u2019 friends died during her bachelorette party trip in St. Barts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cit\u2019s (courthouse) official \ud83c\udf7e\ud83d\udc8d,\u201d Jones, 28, posted via Instagram<\/a> on Tuesday, July 21. The couple shared a carousel of photos from the large day, which was attended by a small group of family and friends.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jones opted for a brief, white dress and white heels, ending off her look with a bouquet of white flowers. Haliburton, 26, kept things easy in a black t-shirt and black pants.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYayyyy one step closer \ud83e\udd0d,\u201d commented Jordyn Woods<\/strong>, who’s engaged to Recent York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The courthouse ceremony comes weeks after the death of Jones\u2019 friend Makenzi Kern<\/strong> in St. Barts on June 8. She was 26.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kern died of \u201chealth complications\u201d on the holiday, in line with her obituary. No reason behind death has been publicly released.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jones and Kern met as cheerleaders at Iowa State University, where Haliburton was also a star basketball player.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cKenzi was the funniest, goofiest person I\u2019ve ever met,\u201d Jones wrote via Instagram on June 17. \u201cShe was all the time making me belly laugh. She had such a present of bringing happiness to each room she was in. A few of my favorite memories with Kenzi are the easy ones \u2014 spending a summer living in her city, leaving our mark on the capital district, running around our cars at stop lights, cheering on the bandshell together, obsessing over The Office<\/i>, dancing on countertops to Hannah Montana, and watching her light up anytime she got to be on a ship.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
