Would any remaining UFAs interest the Winnipeg Jets?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Free Press<\/strong><\/a>: (mailbag) There continues to be obviously the Connor Hellebuyck<\/a> situation lingering this offseason, but there are also some remaining free agents which may interest the Winnipeg Jets, depending on asking price and term<\/p>\n

Up front, Eeli Tolvanen<\/a> and Philipp Kurashev<\/a> might be options. Bringing back Patrik Laine<\/a> seems unlikely, but some fans could also be pondering he could return to form. Bringing in one other forward may potentially take the roster spot of a young player\/prospect, or mean that an experienced player must be moved out. It’s a little bit crowded up front.<\/p>\n

A Dylan Larkin return could be complicated<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Max Bultman of The Athletic<\/strong><\/a>: So with Steve Yzerman<\/a> not the Detroit Red Wings GM, does this transformation Dylan Larkin<\/a>\u2018s trade request? Hard to say since there isn’t any management currently in place. It will be a sophisticated return if he did change his mind. Many feel that the Wings captain has abandoned his team. Some teammates may understand where he\u2019s coming from, however it is probably not a simple return to the locker room.<\/p>\n

NHL Rumors: St. Louis Blues, and the Columbus Blue Jackets<\/a><\/p>\n

The Wings haven\u2019t been in a position to make an enormous improvement this offseason. They added Viktor Arvidsson<\/a> and Keegan Kolesar<\/a>, but lost Patrick Kane<\/a> and James van Riemsdyk<\/a>. Will internal improvement be enough for them to compete for a wild-card spot within the improved Atlantic?<\/p>\n

Since Larkin is their No. 1 center, any trade will likely be a loss for the organization. They do have some pieces that they\u2019re constructing around, and a re-tool over the following 12 months or two is feasible.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unknown how the brand new GM will view Larkin\u2019s situation. He may not have a firm stance on the situation, as Yzerman did.<\/p>\n
