The Scrubs<\/em> revival is returning for a second season \u2014 but not every solid member is coming back.<\/p>\n

The medical sitcom, which originally aired from 2001 to 2010, followed the lives of employees on the fictional teaching hospital Sacred Heart Hospital. The hit series starred Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, Judy Reyes, Neil Flynn, Ken Jenkins<\/strong> and John C. McGinley<\/strong> before it was brought back for a ninth season titled Med School.<\/p>\n

In season 8, JD (Braff) left Sacred Heart while Elliott (Chalke), Turk (Faison), Dr. Cox (McGinley) and Carla (Reyes) remained on the teaching hospital. The show\u2019s final season moved the setting to a medical school to introduce recent characters.<\/p>\n

Only Braff, Faison and McGinley remained regular solid members while others made guest appearances. Kerry Bish\u00e9, Eliza Coupe, Dave Franco <\/strong>and Michael Mosley<\/strong> were brought in, and Bish\u00e9 became the show\u2019s recent narrator after Braff, however the concept only lasted one season.<\/p>\n

JD and Elliott briefly returned in season 9 in a time jump where they were seen getting married and welcoming a baby. ABC confirmed in July 2025 that the network could be reviving the show for season 10.<\/p>\n

Joel Kim Booster<\/h2>\n

Booster, who played Dr. Kevin Park in season 1, is not going to return.<\/p>\n

Ava Bunn<\/h2>\n

Bunn has been promoted to series regular in season 2.<\/p>\n

X Mayo<\/h2>\n

Mayo, who recurred as Charge Nurse Raymond, can also be not set to be back in season 2.<\/p>\n
