Amazon announced<\/a> on Thursday that it\u2019s bringing games to Prime Video by integrating its Luna cloud gaming service into the streaming platform. Games reminiscent of \u201cHogwarts Legacy,\u201d \u201cEA Sports FC 26,\u201d \u201cIndiana Jones and the Great Circle,\u201d \u201cClue,\u201d and \u201cTaboo\u201d shall be available starting today on Fire TVs within the U.S. and U.K.<\/p>\n

With this move, Amazon is hoping games can turn Prime Video right into a one-stop entertainment destination, borrowing a technique from Netflix, which has increasingly embraced party games over the past several years. Since Amazon already operates a gaming service, it is smart for the tech giant to integrate it into its streaming platform.<\/p>\n

Alongside third-party titles and cult classics like \u201cTaboo,\u201d the games library will even feature titles developed by Amazon\u2019s own gaming division, including its \u201cCourtroom Chaos\u201d games and the co-op card battler \u201cMasters of the Universe: Legends Unite.\u201d<\/p>\n

Until now, games on Luna were only accessible through the cloud gaming platform\u2019s stand-alone app available to Prime members. Now they\u2019ll be available alongside Prime Video\u2019s movies and TV shows.<\/p>\n

Amazon says its vision is to remove the barriers to gaming and make it accessible to anyone no matter their experience or budget. The tech giant says Luna is designed to bring gaming to a wider audience by removing the necessity for expensive consoles or gaming PCs and making games as easy to access as movies or TV shows.<\/p>\n

Prime members can now access the brand new \u201cGames\u201d tab on Prime Video and begin playing on their TV using a controller or their phone.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor plenty of people, games have been harder to search out than they ought to be,\u201d Jeff Gattis, general manager of gaming at Amazon, said in a press release. \u201cBringing Luna inside Prime Video allows Prime members to find games more naturally, and in the event that they see one they like, they click it and so they\u2019re in. That\u2019s less time searching and more time playing great games included with their Prime membership.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amazon says it is going to add recent games every month. The tech giant also plans to bring games to additional devices and countries in the approaching months.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
