WWE Hall of Famer and AEW commentator Jim Ross recently looked back on one of the controversial moments of Hulk Hogan\u2019s profession, saying that Hogan\u2019s infamous denial of steroid use on national television ultimately hurt each his own credibility and the skilled wrestling industry.<\/p>\n

Speaking on a recent edition of his \u201cGrilling JR\u201d podcast, Ross discussed Hogan\u2019s 1991 appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show, where the wrestling icon denied using anabolic steroids. Hogan would later admit under oath during Vince McMahon\u2019s 1994 federal steroid trial that his statement on the talk show was false.<\/p>\n

Ross said he had little doubt on the time that Hogan was being dishonest. He said,<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew he was lying. And I knew he was lying, Conrad. God rattling it. You don\u2019t seem like he looked without having some help, some enhancement.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThat basically hurt him and hurt the business, \u2019cause if the largest star within the business goes to lie about something, then what\u2019s to maintain the remaining of the blokes, the remaining of the roster, from lying about things?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a whole lot of things just didn\u2019t occur well, well-timed back in those days.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never understood the large issue on steroids.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIn the event that they were proven that they destroyed your body they usually kill you, then I get it, but that\u2019s probably not the case, for my part. I is likely to be mistaken, I believe much an excessive amount of is made from steroids. And should you use them under a physician\u2019s care, and also you\u2019re attempting to ensure that you\u2019re staying healthy.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
