His elder brother, Akshay, also aspired to develop into a cricketer. <\/span><\/p>\n Nonetheless, with limited resources, the family couldn’t afford to back each sons. Akshay made the difficult decision to offer up his own cricketing ambitions so Ashok could attend the inter-district Under-16 trials.
