Austin Theory says his reference to Paul Heyman stretches back long before they became aligned on WWE television.<\/p>\n

Now one-half of the WWE World Tag Team Champions and a member of The Vision on Monday Night RAW, Theory has enjoyed a successful WWE profession that features reigns as United States Champion and Mr. Money within the Bank. Based on Theory, nonetheless, Heyman has been one among his biggest supporters since his independent wrestling days.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on \u201cThe Early Bird Special\u201d podcast, Theory recalled first meeting Heyman at an EVOLVE event held within the historic ECW Arena when WWE and EVOLVE partnered for a special show. He admitted that he was stunned by Heyman\u2019s first words to him. He said,<\/p>\n

\u201cMe and Paul Heyman actually go way back. My whole time on the predominant roster, I\u2019ve at all times spoken to him. He\u2019s at all times given me great advice. He\u2019s at all times had my back. He took me under his wing. The primary time I met Paul Heyman was after I was on the Indies, it was the primary time Evolve and the WWE did a show together within the ECW arena. Gabe Sapolsky \u2013 that\u2019s my guy \u2013 just about told me, \u2018Hey, you\u2019re the predominant event tonight. I got a surprise for you.\u2019 I used to be like, \u2018All right, I don\u2019t know what that’s.\u2019 Then Paul Heyman walks in.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe time I met Paul Heyman, I went as much as him and said, \u2018Hey, the way you doing, sir? I\u2019m Austin.\u2019 The very first thing he said was, \u2018I\u2019m a giant fan of your work.\u2019 I used to be like, \u2018Holy sh**.\u2019 In order that was cool.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cHe comes as much as me somewhat later, like within the night because the show\u2019s occurring. He goes, \u2018Hey, if I\u2019m going to introduce you tonight, what are things that I call you?\u2019 I used to be like, \u2018Wait, what?\u2019 So he ended up doing the introduction for the match and the remainder there may be history.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI got to WWE and even the pandemic era of RAW, after I left NXT and went to RAW to do Seth\u2019s group, that was all Paul Heyman as well. But I\u2019d need to say, man, he\u2019s at all times had my back. Even The Vision group, he wanted me in that. I used to be like, \u2018Absolutely.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d say relating to advice, there\u2019s a number of advice, but one among my favorite things he said to me after I first got with the group was \u2018Don\u2019t F this up.\u2019 \u2018All right, you bought it.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
