They remade their second pairing on the blue line by adding Sean Durzi<\/a> and Marcus Pettersson<\/a>. The highest-six forward group has taken a step back for the reason that trade deadline with the lack of Artemi Panarin<\/a> and Vincent Trocheck<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Winger Alexis Lafreniere<\/a> has only 66 points in 129 games since signing his seven-year, $7.45 million per contract. The Rangers didn\u2019t need to sell low on him, and held on to him within the hope that he can proceed to construct on his play after the deadline. He put up 14 goals and 14 assists of their final 27 games last 12 months.<\/p>\n

The Rangers shall be looking out for a No. 1 center over the subsequent few years. Mika Zibanejad<\/a> and J.T. Miller<\/a> shall be placeholders for the subsequent few years, but each are 33-years-old. Cole Beaudoin is their top center prospect, but he\u2019s not seen as a top-six guy. They do still own their 2027 first-round pick, and it\u2019s a deep center draft class, but that might mean they\u2019d must have a foul season to land a top guy.<\/p>\n

NHL Rumors: Columbus Blue Jackets, and Forward Options for the Latest York Rangers<\/a><\/p>\n

There can be the dream scenario of adding a Connor McDavid<\/a> or Auston Matthews<\/a> or Leon Draisaitl<\/a>, but who knows in the event that they\u2019d ever be made available, and unless the Rangers are winning, why would they select Latest York?<\/p>\n
