Dance Mothers <\/i>alum Paige Hyland <\/b>issued a fierce reminder against the keyboard warriors who feel comfortable publicly discussing individuals\u2019 bodies online.<\/p>\n

\u201cPrepare with me while we speak about why it\u2019s never OK to comment on someone\u2019s body,\u201d Hyland, 25, began a Saturday, July 25, video shared via Instagram<\/span><\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s 2026, I believed all of us knew this, but I suppose we’d like a bit of refresher.\u201d<\/p>\n

After sharing bikini pics via Instagram<\/span><\/a> earlier this month, Hyland was flooded with comments about her allegedly-concerning small frame.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe comments I got were diabolical. There have been so many individuals saying I looked anorexic, I\u2019m promoting unhappy eating habits and that, as an influencer, I shouldn\u2019t be encouraging this behavior,\u201d she stated. \u201cAs an influencer, I feel prefer it\u2019s my responsibility to arise for people whose bodies naturally appear to be mine.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThere\u2019s no shame in loving your body. Thankfully, more Hollywood stars than ever before are preaching that message, they usually won\u2019t let body-shaming comments slide anymore. Lizzo has been vocal about attempting to help people accept all body sizes. \u201cI would like to normalize my body. And not only be like, \u2018Ooh, have a look at this cool [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In response to Hyland, she\u2019s \u201cbeen tiny\u201d her entire life without intentionally attempting to slim down.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn actual fact, I’m going to the gym to try to construct muscle,\u201d she said. \u201cLosing a few pounds has never been a goal of mine. \u2026 I\u2019ve never got here out and said [I\u2019ve had an eating disorder] because I\u2019ve never had one, which I\u2019m extremely grateful for.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hyland added, \u201cIf I did have an eating disorder, imagine reading comments from hundreds of individuals picking apart my body and diagnosing me after they don’t know what\u2019s happening? That is just not concern, that’s public body-shaming disguised as concern, which is just not cute.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hyland further stated that individuals are \u201cnever entitled\u201d to comment on another person\u2019s physique simply \u201cbecause you’re thinking that you\u2019re helping.\u201d<\/p>\n

Well-known activists have used social media as a tool to spread more messages of self-love to their fans. Mindy Kaling made a splash when she posted a series of photos of herself wearing different two-piece [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cTruth is, you might have no idea what someone\u2019s going through,\u201d Hyland acknowledged. \u201cSomeone may very well be recovering from an eating disorder, they may have a medical condition, they may very well be grieving or they may just be naturally thin like me. You truly don’t know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hyland, for her part, noted that she \u201cnever\u201d followed a strict weight loss plan or restricted her intake of sweets or carbohydrates.<\/p>\n
