By Matthew Miguel L. <\/b>Castillo, <\/b><\/span>Researcher<\/i><\/p>\n SHARES of Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development Corp. climbed last week after the corporate reported a turnaround in first-half earnings amid higher commodity prices and as its mining pit redevelopment program nears completion, analysts said.<\/span><\/p>\n Data from the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) showed Atlas Mining was the tenth<\/sup> most actively traded stock in the course of the week, with 59.04 million shares value P660.81 million changing hands as of Friday.<\/p>\n Atlas Mining\u2019s shares rose 39.4% week on week to P12.20 from P8.75 the previous Friday, outperforming the mining and oil index\u2019s 8.3% gain and the Philippine Stock Exchange index\u2019s (PSEi) 1.9% decline.<\/p>\n The stock has greater than doubled from its 2025 closing price of P6.03, compared with gains of 5.1% for the mining and oil index and three.8% for the PSEi.<\/span><\/p>\n In a disclosure dated July 17, Atlas Mining said gross revenues rose 64% 12 months on 12 months to P12.98 billion in the primary half from P7.93 billion a 12 months earlier.<\/span><\/p>\n The corporate swung to a P4.62-billion net cash in on a P653-million net loss a 12 months earlier, driven by higher mine and mill output.<\/p>\n Atlas Mining attributed the turnaround primarily to higher production as subsidiary Carmen Copper Corp. (CCC) continued to reveal recent ore sources under its mine redevelopment program, which is on target for completion within the third quarter.<\/p>\n The corporate said higher ore grades offset lower milling throughput, lifting copper metal production by 13% to 31.87 million kilos and gold output by 1% to 7,792 ounces. Copper concentrate production also increased 17% to 76,000 dry metric tons.<\/p>\n Jeff Radley C. See, head trader at Mercantile Securities Corp., said in a Viber message that the jump in first-half earnings was driven by higher commodity prices, which the corporate capitalized on by \u201cincreasing shipments.\u201d<\/p>\n Copper concentrate shipments rose 18% 12 months on 12 months in the primary half, while the common copper price increased 38% to $5.97 per pound from $4.32 a 12 months earlier, boosting earnings.<\/p>\n Jasper Timoteo A. Ondap, equity analyst at Regina Capital Development Corp., said in a Viber message that the earnings report was \u201cdefinitely positive\u201d for the stock, signaling that the corporate had returned to profitability after years of weak performance during its redevelopment phase.<\/span><\/p>\n He added that investors had been anticipating the corporate\u2019s recovery as CCC\u2019s redevelopment program approaches completion this quarter.<\/span><\/p>\n Carmen Copper holds the rights to the Carmen, Lutopan, and Biga mineral deposits, which comprise the Toledo copper mine.<\/p>\n The Toledo pit redevelopment program began in 2024 to achieve access to deeper mineral deposits, temporarily reducing production.<\/p>\n Atlas Mining said in its July 17 disclosure that this system stays on schedule for completion within the third quarter, consistent with its original mid-2026 goal.<\/p>\n \u201c[The stock] nearly mirrors and even higher than previous level in mid 2021 to early 2022, really showing the anticipation of its recovery as the ultimate 12 months of its redevelopment program bears fruit,\u201d Mr. Ondap said.<\/p>\n He added that the corporate\u2019s upcoming earnings reports can be the important thing factor for investors to observe.<\/p>\n Each analysts expect the stock to undergo a pullback in the approaching trading sessions.<\/p>\n \u201cInvestors needs to be cautious at this point and wait for a pullback before entering,\u201d Mr. See said, adding that the stock was trading at \u201coverbought levels\u201d relative to its peers.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cA pullback or period of consolidation over the following few trading sessions looks likely after the stock\u2019s sharp, multiday rally,\u201d Mr. Ondap said.<\/span><\/p>\n Mr. See placed support levels at P10.40 and P11.26, with resistance at P13.90 and P15.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Mr. Ondap placed support at around P10 and P8.50, and resistance at P12.50 and P13.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" ATLASMINING.COM.PH By Matthew Miguel L.
